Bremen City Hall, serving as the mayor's residence
and
Die Glocke, our esteemed conference venue.
Transportation from the venue is not provided. Both venues are in walking distance.
When registering, please indicate your preferred venue. However, please note that due to limited capacity at both venues, the final venue confirmation will be sent to you via email before the conference.

1) Bremen City Hall

Bremen Town Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a living testament to the city's rich history and community spirit. Built to unite citizens and authorities, it seamlessly blends market vitality on the ground floor with a representative upper floor.
Renowned for its Weser Renaissance style, the Town Hall's façade reflects European trends from the late 16th century. Adorned with emblematic sandstone sculptures, it symbolizes the city's enduring heritage.
Purpose-built for the City Council, the Town Hall echoes the city's imperial roots and commitment to self-governance. The iconic Bremen stone Roland, erected in 1404, symbolizes freedom and market rights, adding to the city's unique heritage.

2) Die Glocke
Venue and Address: Die Glocke, Domsheide 6-8, 28195 Bremen, Germany
Constructed between 1926 and 1928 and later renovated from 1995 to 1997, Die Glocke stands as a cultural cornerstone in Bremen. Renowned for its exceptional acoustics, it serves as a favoured venue for international classical music stars.
The architectural elegance of Die Glocke reflects the understated style of Hanseatic cities, yet it stands as a unique gem of art deco design both inside and out, unparalleled in Germany. The main hall boasts acoustics comparable to renowned concert venues, earning praise from the legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan as one of Europe's top three concert halls. As one of only two surviving 'zigzag' halls in Germany, Die Glocke is a testament to art deco style.
While its origins trace back to Bremen's early history, the current structure near the cathedral was inaugurated in 1928. Over the years, Die Glocke has evolved into a prominent concert and events venue, garnering recognition far beyond Germany's borders.

Explore the rich history and exquisite dining experience at Bremen's Ratskeller, a culinary gem steeped in over 600 years of tradition. Originally established as a municipal wine cellar in medieval Bremen, the Ratskeller found its home beneath the town hall in 1405. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ratskeller boasts a fascinating past, from its exclusive privilege of serving white wine to the City Council in 1815 to becoming the world's largest curator of purely German wines.
Today, the Ratskeller is not just a historic wine archive but a prominent restaurant that received the 2022 Tourism Award in the "Typical Bremen" category.
